Verified Person Inc., a leading provider of background screening services, announces the addition of John Clark as vice president of sales.

Prior to joining Verified Person, Clark spent six years as vice president of sales and marketing for Memphis-based Amedius LLC, a proprietary software application and enterprise solution company. Previously, Clark held sales and marketing positions with Memphis-based Askew Nixon Ferguson Architects, as well as Universal Computer Systems.

“John has several years of experience managing inside and outside sales teams with a proven track record of performance,” said Jim Davis, Verified Person CEO. “His background building a market-leading software company in the business-to-business space makes him a perfect fit for our company.”

Verified Person plans to double its sales and marketing force in 2008 and will expand operations in the Memphis and New York offices. Clark will be an instrumental player in this growth strategy.

Clark has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in business from the University of California Los Angeles, and an MBA from the University of Memphis. He will work from Verified Person’s downtown Memphis office and will report directly to the CEO.
