MegaPath Extends Reseller Program and Expands Managed Security Channel Offerings

MegaPath SecureConnect Enables Service Providers to Increase Protection for Distributed Enterprises

COSTA MESA, CA.
February 6, 2007

MegaPath, the leading provider of Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions and other managed IP services to businesses nationwide, today announced it is extending its solutions for the channel, adding antivirus, firewall, anti-spam, content filtering and IPS services on top of its leading VPN and broadband connectivity services. MegaPath's Reseller Partner Program gives CLECS, VoIP communication providers and systems integrators a complete suite of next generation broadband, network security and remote access services to increase revenues, penetrate new markets and build customer loyalty.

"To effectively run their businesses, our customers require a wide selection of broadband access, network security and remote access services to help drive productivity and revenue," said Tracy Bogans, President of OCLR Inc. "To augment our services with these offerings would take considerable time and resources, so we turned to MegaPath. With the company's history as a leading provider of managed IP services, OCLR is confident that we are providing our customers with the best portfolio of services available.

SecureConnect is a network-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution that helps organizations safeguard information assets. SecureConnect protects business information and systems from both internal and external threats through the use of Attack Mitigation, Anti-Malware, Web Filtering, and VPN capabilities. As such, it provides an ideal complement to MegaPath’s MPLS VPN, Internet connectivity and remote access services.

The MegaPath Reseller Partner Program is designed for businesses that sell communications and integration services and want to utilize MegaPath’s infrastructure to expand their breadth of service options or service areas. Partners may opt for a Network-to-Network Interconnection (NNI) to the MegaPath MPLS Network, giving them private network access to their customers' sites and the ability to prioritize performance-sensitive and mission-critical applications, like VoIP and video, over other traffic using the Class of Service capability inherent in the network and customer premise equipment. For connecting multi-site customers, partners can offer MegaPath's MPLS and IPsec VPN services with integrated, network-based Managed Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, Anti-virus, Spam Tracker and Content Filtering services. And, partners can offer MegaPath's SSL VPN with the optional remote access client and Personal Protection software to securely connect their customers' mobile workers.

This complete suite of services allows Local Exchange Carriers (ILECS/CLECs), network and systems integrators, and application or VoIP service providers to be more competitive and penetrate new geographic or vertical markets; increase revenues by growing their customer base and Average Revenue Per Unit (ARPU); and reduce churn by building customer loyalty and dependency through the sale of multiple, non-commoditized services to each customer.

MegaPath provides premium quality, pre-packaged managed broadband, network security and remote access services at discounted rates, while partners manage all sales and marketing, billing and 1st tier support. A dedicated Channel Account Manager is assigned to assist partners with all of their needs for selling and supporting MegaPath services. This includes providing sales training on each of the services offered and marketing materials that can be re-branded so the partner can effectively private label the service. MegaPath also provides access to Partner Portal for ordering services and tracking the progress of their customer deployments and network availability. These resources ensure that each of its partners is able to specify and deliver the best and most cost-effective solution for its customers.

“Distributed enterprises are increasingly interested in deploying integrated site-to-site and remote access network services through a single vendor to simplify management, improve organizational efficiencies and reduce operational expenditures,” said J.T. McFadden, Vice President of Channel Sales at MegaPath. “As the leading independent provider of managed IP services in North America, MegaPath is enabling our partners to cost effectively deliver these high value services that their customers are demanding. These services not only increase revenue margins, but fill a critical gap in many service providers’ portfolios.”
