ON24 and GlowPoint Partner to Integrate Services and Launch Joint
Marketing Programs
Industry Leaders Focus on Core Businesses to Expand Use of Video
Communications
April 29, 2006
Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC: GLOW), the world's leading broadcast-quality
IP-based video communications service provider, and ON24, the premier
webcast and multimedia communication solutions provider, today announced
that they have partnered to expand the use of video communication
services throughout their customers' locations. As part of the agreement,
GlowPoint will bundle ON24 services into its current "All You
Can See" Unlimited Video Calling plans and ON24 will provide
GlowPoint's quality of service, IP-based video communication offering
to its customers for ongoing and event-based broadcast quality content
creation and delivery. ON24's webcast platform will be integrated
into GlowPoint's global IP-video network to better enable service
delivery and customer support.
"By partnering with ON24, we can offer our customers the full
portfolio of webcasting and streaming services seamlessly over their
existing GlowPoint locations," said David Trachtenberg, president
and CEO of GlowPoint. "We can continue to focus on our core business
and become the video communications partner of choice for ON24's customer
base -- companies that are already familiar with making video an integral
part of how they conduct their day to day business."
Currently, more than 500 customers worldwide use ON24's ASP webcast
platform, named Webcast Center, for lead generation programs, executive
presentations, continuing education, product demonstrations, analyst
briefings, tradeshows and more. ON24 Webcast Center provides an integrated
suite of publishing tools for producing high-quality, cost-effective
and highly customized web events. Under the terms of the agreement,
ON24 is now GlowPoint's preferred partner for developing and delivering
webcast and streaming solutions to its customers around the world,
and ON24 will become a sales and marketing partner for GlowPoint's
IP-based two-way video communication services. By combining GlowPoint's
high-quality video acquisition methods with ON24's encoding and streaming
services, customers of both companies are able to access an easy and
spontaneous way to create content through IP-based video.
"GlowPoint has a proven track record of providing a broadcast
quality video experience for its customers, even in the most demanding
of situations such as live TV interviews," said Sharat Sharan,
president and CEO of ON24. "We are delighted to work with them
and to be offering our webcasting customers the option of GlowPoint's
broadcast quality, IP-based video communications."
