Company Continues to Expand as a Major Supplier of Chemical and Biological Sensor Systems in the Threat Detection Markets and beyond 
BEDFORD, MA December 7, 2005 Sionex Corporation, a company focused on commercializing breakthrough chemical and biological sensors and systems, today announced the completion of a $12 million Series C round of financing. Rho Ventures and Morgenthaler Ventures led the round with additional funding from Dow Chemical Corporate Venture Capital and Navigator Technology Ventures. Sionex has grown from a development stage company to a commercial supplier of its proprietary microDMxTM technology. Commercial products from Thermo Electron Corporation (NYSE:TMO) and Varian Inc. (Nasdaq:VARI) incorporating the Sionex microDMx technology are being sold. The capital raised will be used to support both commercial, market and technical development efforts.
