Technology to Japan
Dendrite Japan partners with market-leading
ePRO provider
to resell PHT eDiary solutions, provide local Help Desk,
Project Management and Support Services
CHARLESTOWN, MA
September 14, 2005
PHT Corporation, the leading provider of electronic patient reported
outcome (ePRO) solutions used in over 160 trials worldwide, has
entered into a strategic alliance with Dendrite Japan Corporation
that will allow Dendrite Japan to resell PHT’s ePRO products
to new and existing customers. Through this relationship, PHT will
become the first ePRO provider to implement eDiaries for use in
clinical research in Japan. Dendrite Japan will provide local Help
Desk, Project Management and Support Services to biopharmaceutical
clients using PHT’s market-leading LogPad® and StudyPadTM
Systems. Dendrite will market PHT’s complete ePRO solution
including LogPad, StudyPad and StudyWorksTM, PHT’s online
solution that enables site coordinators and study sponsors to better
manage subject compliance and enrollment with real-time data access.
“We are extremely excited that Dendrite Japan has elected
to market PHT’s ePRO solutions to its distinguished customer
base,” said Phil Lee, PHT President and CEO. “Japan
is the third-largest pharmaceutical market in the world, but study
sponsors are now just beginning to adopt electronic patient diaries.
Given the rapid increase of ePRO acceptance in diverse geographies
around the
globe, there is a tremendous opportunity for growth in Japan.”
PHT and Dendrite together are uniquely positioned to meet the specific
requirements of the growing Japanese ePRO market. A thorough understanding
of these needs has enabled PHT and Dendrite to develop an effective
ePRO offering for Japanese sponsors, subjects and sites. The two
companies have been collaborating for more than two years to actively
lay the groundwork for the first-ever ePRO trial in Japan.
“By partnering with PHT, we are able to provide our Japanese
clients with the most complete solution available,” said Jean-Paul
Modde, Senior Vice President of Dendrite International, Inc., parent
company of Dendrite Japan. “Japan’s robust biotechnology
and pharmaceutical industries are looking for new and innovative
ways to improve clinical data quality and reduce trial timelines
– and ePRO solutions provide both. In addition to reselling
PHT’s ePRO products, we will also
deliver local support services necessary to ensure our clients receive
the same professional quality that they have come to expect from
Dendrite Japan.”
