IHOP has developed a wide-area network for its franchisee locations.
IHOP selected Netifice Retail Connect VPN service to provide secure
communication between its Restaurant Support Center, and franchisees
throughout the United States. "We chose Netifice for its ability
to provide a standardized, fully managed broadband VPN service to
all of our franchisees, yet give them the flexibility to choose from
a wide range of access technologies and value-added services,"
explains Patrick Piccininno, vice president information technology
for IHOP. "Netifice's online provisioning system makes it easy
for franchisees to order and pay for their services, and gives us
complete visibility into the status and availability of the network."
Netifice delivers its IP VPN service via all of the major DSL, cable
and satellite access providers, giving IHOP franchisees the flexibility
to choose the access method that's best suited for their requirements.
Once the VPN is implemented, Netifice provides all franchisees with
end-to-end management and service level agreements (SLAs) for their
VPN communication.
