Former Intel and Computer2000 AG Executive Steve DeWindt Joins LightPointe as Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Sales

LightPointe, a designer and manufacturer of high-speed outdoor wireless products, today announced that Steve DeWindt has joined the company as senior vice president of worldwide sales. DeWindt, whose 25-year high-technology career includes executive management posts with industry pioneers Intel Corp. and Computer2000 AG, will lead sales operations for LightPointe's outdoor wireless products across North America, Asia-Pacific as well as Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. LightPointe products are sold in more than 60 countries under the LightPointe and Huawei brands.

During his career, DeWindt has led international teams to achieve more than $6 billion in sales revenue. Most recently, DeWindt was executive vice president with Celergy Networks, a high-technology company focused on custom networking solutions and support of networking infrastructure. He also served as co-founder of BlueRoads, a sales force automation software firm, and CEO of AmeriQuest Technologies, a NYSE-traded wholesale distributor of information technology products. From 1992 to 1995, DeWindt was co-president of Computer2000 AG, an
international wholesale distributor of information technology products that has since been acquired by TechData. Under his guidance, the company grew from $800 million to $3.5 billion in sales. At Intel, DeWindt held several executive positions from 1984 to 1992, including director of worldwide reseller sales, with responsibility for indirect sales channels as well as the development and implementation of new
distribution strategies. Early in his career, Steve oversaw international marketing and business affairs for the Disney Corporation's Record and Music Division.

DeWindt earned a master's degree in business administration from the Andersen School of Management at UCLA and a bachelor's degree in business from Principia College.
