Marlin & Associates Chooses IntraLinks as Sole Provider
of Virtual Data Rooms; Information and Technology
Investment Firm Cites IntraLinks' Superior Feature
Set as Determining Factor
FORBES
BUSINESS WIRE
October 25, 2005
Marlin & Associates, a New York and Washington D.C.-based investment
banking firm focusing on technology, digital information, media and
software companies, today announced that it has chosen IntraLinks
to be its provider of virtual data rooms. Under the terms of the agreement,
Marlin & Associates will employ IntraLinks' Private Label Service,
which will enable the firm to offer its clients access to the most
sophisticated data room technology on the market under its own name.
"Our clients use the best technology. They expect us to do the
same.
So, we choose our technology providers with the greatest of care,"
said Michael Maxworthy, Partner at Marlin & Associates. "We've
experienced other virtual data room providers, and found IntraLinks
to be the best. Their responsiveness and feature set put them in a
class by themselves."
IntraLinks allows companies to post confidential information in secure
virtual data rooms for due diligence in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Traditionally, banks and their corporate clients store paper documents
in physical rooms for buyers to take turns reviewing information over
a period of weeks or months. Using an IntraLinks On-Demand Workspace™,
buyers conduct due diligence online simultaneously, shortening the
deal timeline while protecting the anonymity of multiple buyers and
allowing sellers and their advisors to track their progress closely.
"We are pleased that Marlin & Associates has turned to IntraLinks
as its trusted provider of virtual data rooms," said Andrew Damico,
Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing at IntraLinks.
"We look forward to assisting the Marlin & Associates team
in delivering outstanding service to their clients in the years ahead."
