Overview

Rho Fund Investors ("RFI") is the division of Rho that invests in private equity funds on a global basis, with an emphasis on venture capital and other specialized private equity funds whose strategies afford unique advantages, such as domain expertise, operational expertise or focus on a particularly attractive sector. Since 1981, RFI has successfully committed to, and realized substantial returns from, private equity funds across numerous sectors and through a wide variety of economic cycles, committing in excess of $2.1 billion to over 140 venture capital and specialized growth buyout funds.

RFI also draws extensively on its relationship with Rho Ventures, the division of Rho that manages a series of venture capital funds that have invested in approximately 200 early stage companies in information technology, communications, new media, healthcare and energy technology since 1981, to access and diligence other venture fund managers.

As a result of this experience, RFI has developed significant knowledge, expertise and relationships across the private equity industry. RFI benefits from Rho’s unique access to investment opportunities and information flow, the Members’ extensive private equity expertise, and Rho’s integrated investment approach and disciplined, value-driven investment culture, with demonstrated access to leading private equity funds.

RFI is currently committing a $600 million fund investment program.
